Monitoring notice

Redline decided to tell you exactly what the training platform records while you use it, instead of doing it quietly. This is that. It applies to the training pages only.

While you watch a training video

Every 10 seconds, the player tells the server:

• where you are in the video;
• the playback speed;
• whether this browser tab is the one showing;
• whether the browser window is focused;
• whether the video player is on screen.

It also notes what browser and device you are using, once per viewing.

Why: a module counts as complete at 90% watched, and only watching the server can see counts — at normal speed, with the video in front of you. Skipping ahead, speeding up, or leaving it playing in a hidden tab does not add time. The player shows you, as you go, what is and is not being counted.

Checks during a video

Some videos pause to ask a question, or simply to check you are still there. Your answer, and when you gave it, are recorded. Until you answer, nothing further counts.

Assessments

Your answers are recorded, with when you opened the attempt, when you submitted it, and your score. Answers are saved together when you submit, so how long you spent on any one question is not recorded. Multiple-choice questions are marked automatically; written answers are read by a manager. No artificial intelligence reads your answers.

What is never recorded

No camera. No microphone. No keystrokes. No screen recording or screenshots. No location. Nothing about other tabs, other programs, or anything you do away from the training pages.

Who sees it, and what it can lead to

You see your own progress. Managers at Redline see everyone’s records, and a summary of the attention signals above. Nobody outside Redline sees any of it.

Nothing happens automatically. No score or signal suspends you, fails you, or flags you to anybody but a manager. A manager decides what, if anything, to do — most often, asking you to watch a module again or retake an assessment. If that happens, what you completed before stays on your record.

Managers may use training completion, with their own judgement, when deciding who is ready for territory and shifts.

How long it is kept

The second-by-second detail is deleted after 90 days. Your training record is kept while you work at Redline, and deleted one year after you leave. There is more in the training privacy policy.
